Built in 1929, the Royal Gorge Bridge held the record as the world's highest suspension bridge for decades. Today it remains an engineering marvel and one of Colorado's most visited attractions.

The park has expanded to include numerous attractions: an aerial gondola gliding across the canyon, a skycoaster for thrill-seekers, via ferrata climbing routes along the canyon walls, and various overlooks providing different perspectives on the gorge.
